In support of PTSD awareness month in June, the American Legion Post 171 Crystal Lake will be hosting the "Vets 4 Veterans and BLUE Families" on Saturday, June 11, on the grounds of Immanuel Lutheran, 300 Pathway Court, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
Our mission is to Mitigate and Eliminate the Suicide Epidemic in our military and first responder communities.
Two of our key expanded areas will be a special emphasis on women veterans and military medical personnel. Also, first responders that are part of the 911 call centers and EMT personnel in addition to all the other first responders.
Naperville Marines Ball

Naperville Marines Ball will be Saturday, November 5th at the Naperville/Chicago Marriott. We have partnered with the Joliet reserve unit, Weapons Co 2/24 so we will have young Marines and their dates in attendance as well. Looking to be 300+ in attendance so a pretty big shindig. We will have the full shebang with Marines performing a sword detail, adjutant reading, color guard etc. Oh yeah! And our Guest of Honor will be the 16th SgtMaj of the Marine Corps, SgtMaj KENT!!!! We are working to see if we can also get General Conway, the 34th CMC to come as well (they led the Corps at the same time).
